All the same and intertwined together
Caught in a snapshot by eagle feathers
Anointed sons of founding fathers
Blood lines red and white and blue
Clench fists with structural oppression
Dominance a cloth instilled ambition

Iron and steel and fire and death
Wave the flag from right to left
Cast your vote to kill the Earth
Imagine what the soul of a child is worth
Ask for change on faithful investment
Receive a loss for mind’s resentment

Breathe in and sigh without remorse
All together bring about a path to course
Voices low and high and true between
This is not all that life should bring
If ever there was truth let it be free
Today is the tomorrow where I becomes We

Rather come slither
Point is no dysfunction
Careful hypothetical deduction
When to what and how to who
Desperate fatigue
Lace my boots to the sight of you
Metal stairwell somewhere dark
Mystery beyond the light line
Warmth gave me shutters
Nerves gave in
Felt something missing
Catharsis in sin

Down the line
To intertwine
Phrases dance the sunshine
Rhythm from heart to hormones
Fever pitched without a touch
Never more or even more
Clock spun backward on blistered lips
Far off away from there
Here is safe in blatant honesty
This is me saying “Hi”
Too much thought between
“Good bye”

Slumber patterns
Drifting lanterns
Caught following
Crusted caverns

Trail of a legend
Walls of ancient language
Torches in the distance
Someone is there

Taher from before
Liaison and more
Guide through the chamber
No words to remember

Drawn into symbol
Heat grew in the darkness
Eyes never blink
Light brings vision

Drifting through the Duat
Gravity dissipates
Echoes solidify
Perception deviates

Earth spins dramatic
History reborn
Messages draped in myth
Structural divinity

Sleeping dogs lie flat
Time presses onward
Closed minds know not
Life shines forever

In that itchy eyed dream world
lost in the past.
Lint under the finger nails
from Sunday last.
Give me liberty
from pain of yesterday.
Tell the story faithful
below the tree we lay.

Sunshine and daffodils
linger softly at my feet.
Crayfish in Allegany
from the bubbling creek we meet.
Long socks and ice cream
give way to drug cushioned insecurity.
It was clear once
then the world shattered.

Give us this day
our daily bread
and remember the sins
that led us here.
Tell me father
is there an answer to find?
Or do I already know it
and you did so
in kind?

Beautiful sunshine
please last forever.
Let our breath be full
of God’s bright splendor.
If we forgive ourselves
let us have salvation.
I love you Dad
and I’ll never
forget you.

Isn’t working now
Fear in tow
Drifting ignorant now
All is woe

Caribbean salty mouth
Acid sun
White hot

Left for life
Speak from past

All around
Don’t look

Question answers
Born distant
Low dead

Human currency
Nothing in death

Blood truth
Cycle bound
Loss self
Hell found

Head open
Spirit flow

Course steps

Random whore monger
Disgusting human birth
Fear the shadows of Earthly self doubt
Trip on your own ignorance

Footsteps as a gift
Taken down the street of fate
Salvation for those who see beyond the sky
Stars shine down as the warmest womb

Cycles of light found in your desperate eye
Understand your connection to the Sun
Sun from the Cosmos
Cosmos from the Gods

When your soul meets another
Mirrors could not reflect more identical this identity
Persona flight from genetic monstrosity
Ignite the fire from your speech translated from this language

The young boy walked out the door despite calls from his mother
Wind blew from the east and his hair itched his forehead
His eyes took moments to focus into the sunlight
After a breath all sound went mute
He ran off the porch and over the grass in a woosh
To man-made streets and past Sun-made trees
He never wanted to go home again
Lost in inherent stupidity all he knew was to try and escape
Pressure on his small rapidly beating heart might be too much to bear
He sprints and tears start to flow as his lip quivers
Face tenses and contorts
Scalp throbs as his hair grows long
Skin tightens
Body grows

He ran from home to find something
But because he kept running
His way was lost
And he found nothing

Then home found him
Universe pushed the boy out the door again
Try one more time my son
Find the answers in the light, but weary the shadows of men

Found it in the blades of grass
Them perhaps
His glasses there
No stains
Just wear
Worn many days to months and years
In sun and rain and snow
Lenses made bright dim
Haze to focus
Lifted up to massage the bridge
Thumb and forefinger
Then pushed back

Steps back across the yard
Wonder when he mowed last
Had he given up his past
These steps he takes left all aghast

Deny your light and you will see
Darkness on a summer’s day
If it’s all too bright
Than he just might
Take out his gun
Shut out the light
